The M-N's are very common, and in original configuration, very good condition, no scope, wood stock, are well under $100. Ammo is as common as dandruff. Especially CHEEP milsurp ammo.
The 8mm Lebel is somewhat uncommon, ammo is not an everyday thing.
If you would like a M-N, take a stroll over to auctionarms.com, or gunbroker.com, and scroll thru the auctions. You WILL need to add shipping costs, and paying a dealer at your end to receive it for you. Or spend the $30 for an 03 Collectors FFL, and order your own from Southern Ohio Gun- or any other wholesaler- and have it delivered to your door.
Looks ugly in that plastic crap. I love the Mosin the way it is.
Bought my Brother's Russian MN from genuine WW2 times for 125 bucks....but it was me being able to actually see it...feel it and touch it....I'll spend up to 25-50 bucks more if I can actually touch and feel a rifle before I buy it.
