Default Good bullet for hunting deer or hog with my new Marlin 30-30

I just bought a marlin 30-30 im waiting my ten days and wondering what ammo would be suggested

Alright... I have 170 grain federal amunition which would you prefer between those two cuz I think the higher in grains the better but I dont really know I mostly hunt small game with shotguns and im new to rifles

In 30*30 I prefer a 150gr or lighter.

I could make a list of a bunch of guns i have, or "have", or wish I had. Why would one feel compelled to provide that infornation freely? Do you feel the need to show off? Is it some immature game of oneupsmanship?

Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

A lighter bullet travels faster, drops less, but loses energy faster.

A 130 or 150gr bullet is plenty for deer.

Do you have a specific brand that you would u recommend n what bout on hogs I should stick to higher grains (sorry for all the questions just wanted to know)

Same for hogs. I shoot the cheap blue box federal from Walmart in 30-30.

I never found the gun section in walmart I just go to turners... thanks for all your advice man
