4.5lbs Are you kidding a M1 Carbine the smallest rifle on my rack weighs in at 5.2lbs

a M4 Carbine weighs 6.36 lb (2.88 kg) empty

A feather weight Ruger compact in .308 weighs in at 5.75 lbs

Ruger Mini 30 weighs in at 6.75lbs

A Savage MKII F .22LR with the plastic stock weighs in at 5.0lbs

So good luck with your quest. there are very very few rifles that weigh 4.5lbs and would be legal for Deer in any State I know of.

My choice would be my Rock River LAR-8 in 308 & Rock River Elite 1911
in 45 ACP then Back up and CCW = Glock 27 40 Cal.

I was saying a secondary that weighs less than 4.5 lbs it could be multiple pistols or one very light rifle such as su-16

this would be a tough decision to make. my remington model 700 in 7mm rem. mag. and my 1911 and my taurus 44 tracker. wow, that was hard, hope i never really have to make that decision for real!
