Your wasting your time with FMJ's as more often then not you'll probably get pass throughs or worse still a wounded pig from a non performing FMJ projectile unless your shooting over baits at close range then it won't be so bad.
FMJ's were originally designed to wound in their military form and in civvie use are best used as target rounds.
I would be looking for a couple of boxes of 55-60gn hunting ammo like Hornady,Federal etc.
I've seen what a .222/.223 does when it hits a mud encrusted boar and in 1 case the boar was pi%^ed off something chronic and squealing it's head off while looking for something or somebody to rip a new one into.
In most cases the projectile started to open up on the mud and then left a nasty flesh wound and a very cranky boar but by the same token I know a few blokes who have shot a lot of pigs with their .223 mostly pro 'roo shooters though.
