Here is the first picture set of my Mauser 98 action CZ-550 synthetic chamber in .308. It has a 5 round capacty. The scope is a MEOSTAR Meopta riflescope 3-12x56 with illuminated reticle. I purchased it at my LGS:

The CZ-550 has a set trigger as you can see on the first two pictures. Makes for a very easy and accurate shot. Th rifle in general is very accurate and smooth to operate. I have not had to make any second shots on my hunts yet. The Mauser 98 is my favorite of all the bolt action rifles. The iron sights are dead on and make an excellent backup if the optics fail. The recoil is not bad at all on this rifle.
•Barrel Length: 60cm (23.62 inches)
•Total length: 113cm (44.49 inches)
•Weight: 3.3 kg (7.20 pounds)

My next picture thread will be a more internal look at my Hera Arms 15th Dynamic. Here are my past threads on the Hera Arms.

I would love to see other forum members' pictures of their bolt action rifles, especially the mechanics of the rifle.

Here is a picture of enjoying a morning in the German woods on a high seat....

Here's some pics of a Sako 995 in .30-06. The somewhat brick like shape of the action give it extra rigidity for accuracy. The Sako barrel is equal to the Sako reputation for accuracy. Detachable box mag and the short bolt lift, due to it's three lug bolt, make it smooth and fast to operate.

The paint job is just some Krylon and matte polyurethane. The scope is a Redfield Accurange, 3-9x40mm.

Sako makes an excellent rifle. I like the design of the bolt and safety. Thank you for sharing the excellent craftsmanship of your rifle. Nice camo, it looks very professional.

Thanks. I was noticing a couple things about your CZ and have a couple of questions. Obviously the gas shield is a different design than a standard or classic '98. I see they moved the safety to the side. I also noticed that the left lug is not split for an ejector/ bolt release. What type of ejector did CZ come up with? Same with the bolt release?

Safety is on top right next to thumb. Has standard three settings. The bolt release is on the top left and is a lever you push forward. Push forward again to insert bolt. I had problems in the beginning lining up the bolt for insertion. Had to be just right. I just needed to know the rifle. It is easy once you get the hang of it. As far as the type of ejector, I am not sure what the technical term is. I will take pics of bolt release operations and ejection of cartridges tomorrow.
