German Mauser ?

Default German Mauser ?

I've had this rifle for about 40 years, I was told it is a German Mauser. Can anyone give me any additional info on this gun. Marking on the barrel shows "cal 7.92" with what appears to be a 3 petal leaf and the letters P and R. The number 1622 is stamped several places including the bolt. I've incuded a few pictures at
