Default Fujinon 3.5-10x50mm

Would this be a nice scope to put on a Rem. 742 30.06?

Dollar for dollar, Vortex Viper is coming out tops right now. These things change over time, but for $600, you can have an outstanding 2.5-10x scope

Pure opinion here, but the 742 is what I consider a hunting grade rifle (as opposed to a benchrest target gun) That 50 mm becomes a rather large, high scope for just about any hunting rifle.

It can be a tall order for some but leupold solved that look at the vxl series 50 mm but able to mount on med rings due to the od shape of the bell
