Flinching is for sissies. Might want to get a girl gun. (JOKING).

I am getting ready to go check my deer rifle out and it is a nice 30-06 with a Steel but plate. You just take a deep breath relax and take it like a man. Nice slow squeeze on the trigger till it kicks the snot out of you.

Ok, thanks for all help. Here's something else, I only flinch with rifles, not the 12 gauge which I think is kinda funny!

I'm starting to wonder if it has something to do with having one eye shut when I look through the scopes. Any thoughts on this or am I being completely delerious?

It might be the sound you are flinching from, get you some better hearing protection...............

dells04 if you flinch with a rifle, you flinch with a 12g. the shotgun (with its many pellets) just doesnt tell on you

shoot slugs (single projectile) and you'll see

Sniper, that's what I mean, I took the shotgun out this morning and shot a box of slugs. No flinching, no pulling, no anything! Put all five in a 2" cluster @ 30 yards.
