Cindy,

Lets see some pics! Love the Lever Guns! I did add a Winchester 94 to the collection (From Walmart) when Winchester stopped making them a while back. Still in the box and I have never fired it. It is not a collectors piece by any means but though maybe one of the grandkids might like to have it some day. Think of the Country Song about the Granddad who gave the Boy a 30-30 when he turned 9! LOL

My first centerfire rifle was a levergun, a Marlin 1895G when I was 18 years old. This 45-70 had a square finger lever and a straight grip stock with a hard plastic buttplate. I developed and overcame a flinch with this rifle - and never flinched again after that.

The Henry .22 is a much more reasonable first levergun, I bet it'll be a lot of fun to shoot. Beautiful, too.

Like Rex,
My first was the Daisy "Red Ryder"
Then the Marlin 39A "Mounty"
I think it is a Rossi in .44 mag.
And a Friend gave me an old
Winchester 94 30.30.
My next, I hope,
something in .45 Colt.
I love the lever action..

My first was a pre-'64 Winchester in 32spl, (still have it). Since then, I've added a Winchester Trapper Carbine in 44mag, a Marlin 45-70 and recently, a Henry Big Boy 357mag. The 357 and 44 are my favorites.

My first lever rifle? A Henry .22 youth model gifted to me by my man. He had it custom painted with pink camo. It is a very accurate gun, very nice to shoot. You're going to love it.
