well you picked a good one for your first one!:D

Henry has an excellent reputation for building a quality rifle.

you made an excellent choice for your first lever action without a doubt. it will serve you well for many, many years.

pictures when you get it home!:D

Pre-64 Winchester 94 in .30-30. Never shot better than paper plate sized groups. Have been a Marlin 336 fan ever since.

Marlin 39A. Mom bought it for Dad for their first anniversary. Still have it. My grandkids shoot it.

My first lever action was a Daisy Red Ryder
my first .22 was a winchester 9422

My first ever shot was dads marlin 56 levermatic
The first i ever built from spare parts was a winchester model 250
First parts 30-30 leveraction was $50 for a box of a winchester 64 in pieces, fixed it up was one sweet shooting rifle when done, stupidly i sold it because it was accurate enough to be boring was during my milsurp kick closet full of mosins phase.
Coolest looking leveraction i had was a worn out hand me down eskimo rawhide repaired western auto model 740, 30-30 muzzle so worn it shotnpatterns instead of groups.

My next to buy is the Remington nylon 76 trailrider.

In my case

I don't have one, don't own one but have been drooling for a Henry Big Boy in .44 mag for some time. Problem is, if I don't let things cool off and bring another gun home, my wife is liable to use it on me !!! LOL

I figure a 3-4 month cooling off period... :D

My first was a Marlin 30TK.. Its a straight stock, short tube 30-30. T= stands for Texan model, K= stands for Kmart. they were sold only at Kmart stores for a couple years. Thats the gun that started all the trouble......:D. I have 11 lever guns now....Really want a stainless 45-70 Guide gun, but it's a process..after a while i will come to grips with the fact that i dont really "need" one... I'm not a Guide, and the Polar Bear threat in my area is minimal... Congrats on the Henry.....i have one in .22, and 45LC, They are very nice....:)
