Jeeez, where to begin. Have around 30 rifles from various 22 LR rifles to a 43 Spanish rolling block. For my 22s, it's a Model 12 BSA made (perhaps in the 1920s) peep sighted target rifle. Darn thing, on a windless day, can shoot a 5" or less group at 200 yds. Shooting it at a 50 yd target can be almost boring with the right ammo.

Tough to figure out my favorite centerfire rifle. Like Axxe, do enjoy my Marlin X rifles.....wandered into a local gun store early this week to check what gun powder they had.....basically nothing on shelves.....then I found a Marlin XS 7mm-08 for $299 (plus tax), LOL, couldn't resist buying it.

However, the Ruger 77 tang safety that I had rebarreled to 7x57 and put in a Boyds unilet stock (chuckle, inletting a stock for a Ruger 77 action is a pain in the behind) is probably my favorite scoped rifle.

Have a decent collection of military surplus rifles. Gotta love a 1903 Springfield that I own a couple of as well as some darn nice Mausers. But the Danish Madsen 30-06 made for Columbia in the 50s is my favorite. Bought it back in the late 60s when a teenager for deer hunting. Rifle shoots well and there has not been a time at range with it that someone has not approached me to ask what it was.

Huff, you'll love that XS7 in 7mm-08! such a sweet shooting rifle. very accurate, even with factory loads.

another older Ruger M77 fan! would love to see some pictures of yours.

i have got to add a 7x57 to my collection!

I have around 40 center fire rifles.

My favorite, by far, is my Colt LE6940 with the A.C.O.G.

It just comes up to my soulder and points so easily and naturally that it almost seems like I don't even have to aim it.

I love my Garand, M-1 Carbine, 03A3, SMLEs and most of the others. But for me, none of them even come close to that little Colt!

I would have to say that of all my rifles, the M14 is my favorite. But then the Milspec 5Rs, Garands, M1903s all have their places in my heart as well. I shoot target and hunt with all of them.

My ruger 10/22 has been my favorite (sometimes most frustrating) rifle since I got it for my 6th birthday 15 years ago.
-should I put an after market stock on or go with "if it ain't broke don't fix it"?

In my mind, you shouldn't be able to fix something that isn't broken.....why not look for a used one to tinker with?

I'm going to go with my SKS for a favourite. I like the looks of it and the fact it's cheap to shoot. It's also the only gone I've shot past 400 yards with and connected with my target. So it's one of those "first" things, it was also my first semi auto centre fire also.

My old Marlin 60 has been my goto gun for a long time. Love the gun. But I also love my Mosin, and Marlin .30-30. Here lately I'm finding the M1 Carbine to be one of the most fun guns I've got to shoot.

Glenfield model 60 because it has never let me down, then my Russian SKS because it will shoot through walls, cars, cinder blocks etc with armor piercing rounds and for my bolt actions its a toss up between my new Savage 111 and my K98.

My little Marlin Model 39 22LR has been a lot of fun over a lot of years. I've even done some semi-serious shooting with it - clearing ground hogs out of horse pastures. I put a scope on it - and that little 22 will put the bullets right where they need to be. It's more accurate than I am!
