It was a response to a number of articles and comments characterizing the lever-action 30-30 as the original 'assault rifle'.
What they kinda forgot to notice is most of those articles and comments commended the lever-action 30-30 as being 'low profile', unlikely to generate a negative reaction or paranoia when seen by the public or law enforcement officers who might have politically-driven trigger issues regarding AR platform rifles.
It's as if articles commended the VW bug for being economical - so somebody put out a version of it with a blown 454 V8.
The really weird thing about it is that they probably sell quite a few of those tactical lever-guns.
I'm thinking about marketing tactical incense sticks... Anybody interested?
