Default Father's day early!

My wife just presented me with a 440 round can of 40 year old 7.62x54R and said the rifle is on its way. I am STOKED! I mentioned that I wanted one and she was listening. Anyhow, as I've been torturing myself with Mosin related web surfing, I ran across this on another site. Enjoy!

There is another one like that on 7.62x54r.net but this one is longer and funnier.

I'm gonna stop you right there, you just said an AR-15 is a high-powered rifle. It is obvious you don't know anything about guns and I shall ignore anything you say from this point on.

While waiting for what seems like an eternity for my 91/30 to arrive, I've been surfing all pertinant info on my new baby. Read this on another forum and had to share. (From "MikeK" on survivalistboards.com)

"Getting cosmoline out of the wood is the hard part. There are several methods that work. For me, if it's a stock I don't care a great deal about, such as a Mosin Nagant or an SKS, where I have replacements. I just toss it in the dishwasher! I've never had a stock split or warp on me that way, though I have read some warnings that it happens, so try this at your own risk.

Guys, fair warning! Your wife will be VERY upset about this. It might be better to do it by hand, rather than end up having to do the "other thing" by hand.
