Default Enfield Question...

A buddy of mine has a 1944 British Enfield .303 No4 MK1. And he's in the hunt for a bipod for it but he's having trouble finding one that doesn't go on the barrel. He's looking for one that will mount to the stock instead. Anyone have any insight as far as what he can do about it? He likes my Harris bipod and was leaning towards getting one of them for it. Thanks for any and all help with the question.

The support is his arm. Putting holes in that stock will severly decrease the value. Just get a shooting bag.

A bipod on a No. 4 MK I. Really? Seriously!? That's just not on. Maybe if he puts it in a synthetic aftermarket stock first...

So from the sounds of it, custom mounting is not advised because it will destroy the rifles value. And the only way it might be possible is to get an aftermarket stock.

Hey I dunno why he wants the bipod, I just told him I'd do my part and try to help him out lol
