Default Does anybody know what this is???

Ok one of my good friends has an old rifle. His father was a mechanic and years ago he got the rifle from a man as a payment for rebuilding his transmission. Later he passed it down to his son. My friend has no idea what it is neither did his father. I've only seen pictures of it. He thinks it's French but to me from research it looks closely like a Hungarian 35M. Here's some pictures of it. I'll try to get more clearer ones from him later.
