Do you name your guns?

If so what did you name it, and why did you name it that? :D

Sig P226r-Rosy
HK USP .40-Big Bertha
CZ-550 synthetic .308-the reaper
Mossberger 590 mariner special purpose-My boom stick
I am still working on approval from the German government for an AR-15 by Oberland Arms. First I get a no, but now I am getting a maybe. Will find out in a day or two. If a get a no, I will buy a Beretta Storm Carbine in .40 or .45. Well anyways I will name either one the Equalizer.

I don't, I am not that creative. I didn't even get to name my kids, the wife thought I would get that wrong. (LOL) Maybe that's why I call them by the wrong name all the time.

Nah, never really got into that, not really attached to any of em at an 'intimate' level

Call my 30/06AI "The Black Bitch" because it's just so nasty and mean on pigs, goats etc and being built on a black B&C fibreglass stock and M98 action it weighs in at 3 kg's and is nasty to bench as well.
I call my new project rifle a Ruger M77 22/250AI the 'Foxinator' because that's what I built it for to drop foxes out to 400 yds and so far it's made a real mess of the couple of foxes I've pizza'd so far.

Only a few:
Since most of my deer hunting is in "shotgun only " zones, I've had a Marlin 512 Slugmaster for years that I named "The Supplier".
A Savage-Stevens Model 24 .22wmr over 20 gauge named "Sting".
An S&W 19-3 .357 revolver named "The Beast", and a SS Ladysmith .357 named "The Roaring Cricket".
And of course, every muzzelloader I buy gets the monicker "Ole Smokey".

They all go by the same name...."mine"

Donn 04-14-2013 11:43 AM

No. Till they start cutting the lawn or painting the house, the generic factory description's good enough.

chloeshooter 04-14-2013 11:52 AM

I have some real choice names for them when there is a jam or fail to feed!

Jagermeister 04-14-2013 11:59 AM

I know a great name for .50 Barrett. The compensator.:p
