I have yet to find a round I didn't like. My favorite is (and may always be) the 30-06.

Yeah, bad experiences can ruin a caliber for you. Luckily, I haven't had any bad experiences where the problem was the caliber.

I dont miss often and when i can punch 5 180 gr winchester super x bullets into a trottin deers ribs/front shoulder and neck between 50 and 25 yards away then have her still be alive an hour and 190 yards later it ruins that. The other two were shot in the same day. One i shot 3 times at 75 yards and had to trail her for half a mile w three 150 grains federal powershoks through her lungs. The other i hit through one lung and the offside shoulder with a federal 180 gr vitalshok. i didnt find her till 3 days later. I shot her at 90 yards. Out of 9 bullets and 9 solid hits only 3 exited. All on the second doe.

Damn...sorry you went through that.
Was it a Glock .40?
...and did he wear dreadlocks and a DEA tee shirt?

I don't really like .40 either,I feel like its got as much felt recoil as a .45 with all the snap its got. So I'd rather just have a .45 and have a bullet that hits like a .45 on BOTH ends. And if I was going for a smaller bullet than .45,I'd rather Just skip the .40 and go straight to a 9mm for the full compromise and get the the lighter recoil and faster return to POA in return for the downgrade in caliber.

Dislike, not really. I just feel some are redundant to what I already use. So many overlap uses. I find it is more of the firearm I dislike.

I don't hate the .30-06 at all; but, I do love it only for its brass. I make my 7x57 and .25-06 from .30-06 brass.

Only logical reason I've got is the recoil is a little to much for my liking, but still do-able.

Now for my un-logical reason, it's what the first rifle I've had an accidental/random discharge was chambered in.
Same here. Many years ago I shot a friend's Rem 700 BDL in 7mm mag and I did not like the recoil. Since then I have shot rifles that kicked even more but still have some dislike for the 7mm Rem Mag. It is a nice flat-shooting cartridge but I would probably go with the 300 Win Mag instead.

I don't have any dislike for any caliber. If it goes bang I love it.
