The idea of a bolt gun that uses AR mags has some merit, although I am not a box magazine fan on bolt guns. You can find mags pretty cheap, that includes 5 round. The Laminated stock is a very good idea to give a stable platform in all weather conditions. Not a bad looking rig.

i also was not a fan of a box magazine on a bolt action, but my thought on it seems to be changing for some reason. i have even given some consideration to using one on the rifle i'm building.
