Default big bang.

I guess most have not read history. ancesters killed big animals with muzzle loaders.which were on pare with 44/40.I am working on loads for a 6.5 jap carbine(original)it will do the job as well as any course a miss will not bring home meat.I believe the magnums will go out of style in 10 yrs.It nothing but hype by the advertisers.and sales gimmic to sell more guns.

Now that's just plain cool. How many of you got a woman that will hunt with you and maybe out-hunt you? I do, and I'm a better man for it. I know there will be meat on the table one way or another, and to have a girl that's hooked on guns just as much as you is priceless.

Default Thoughts

I'm finding most shots are made at under 150 yards so some out of the box ideas might include some of the new pistol ammo carbines like the 4095 from HiPoint or the Beretta CX4 Storm series of carbines. They reduce recoil by employing the semi-auto pistol technique of throwing the inner slide back with the force. Beretta also employs a rotating barrel to absorb some added recoil as I was reading. You will have trouble getting out beyond 125 yards with much accuracy since the rounds barely exceed 1500 fps even with +P loads, but some folks like them quite a bit. I found my 4095 with scope and sling and three ten round mags for right around $300. I normally only stuff the Hi-Point mags with 9 instead of 10 because they are cheap single stack mags and cramming a 10th in the mag tends to make that first round stick. You get what you pay for is something to keep in mind when going on the cheap. Just sharing my thoughts and would love to hear your thoughts on these popular new uzi descendants.

out of the 22-250, 243 and 7mm-08 which one has the least muzzle flash and recoil? I have seen mossberg makes a lot of the smaller caliber rifles. how are these rifles?
