Default CZ Cracked Big Bore Stock

I was reading online that CZ has a reputation for stock cracking on their big bore rifles. Is that accurate, or is it blown out of proportion? What would make a stock crack anyway?

I haven't heard of cz stocks cracking, ever. Some things that could crack the stock are, the barrel not be free floated, dropping it, not maintaining it after each hunt if its rainy or snowy.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Back in the 80's the Interarms Mark X's (Yugo Mauser Sporters) were notorious for cracking stocks. Improper inletting was the problem, and proper bedding fixed it.

My buddy had a CZ in .375 and it cracked behind the tang. Smith who built it bought it back from him.

I am not scared of recoil. Besides, I will never use any of those "sled" things. It's no fun that way. Recoil is part of the game.

I have a CZ 550 .458 Lott with 80 rounds (60 465 gr Lotts, 20 500 gr Win Mags) through it with no issues.
