Just found a couple of my cameras that were misplaced after moving last year. Charged them up and took a look at the pics and thought I'd post a couple.

I use .300WinMag for elk hunting, and currently have two.

One is a Flaigs Husqvarna topped with a Meopta 3-9. Blued with walnut.
The other is a Winchester M70 Classic Stainless with a synthetic stock and topped with a Meopta 4-12. Both are great shooters.

I only take the Winchester anymore due to the terrible weather where I hunt. Tired of dealing with blued steel and walnut after days of non-stop wet weather.

Here are a couple of shots of them taken in the last few years. Sometimes the weather is dry, but usually pouring rain/snow/sleet/hail.

You knew I had these. I just lost the cameras with the old pics in them.

Exactly.

I've thought about putting a heavy contour bbl on the Husky along with a new stock and using it for some long range shooting, but may just keep this bbl til it is shot out. It shoots great.

I knew I liked you for some reason M14sRock.
I like shooting 300WM's,although I did get rid of my Ruger #1 and got a Savage 10FCP 308 to take it's place.

But I still enjoy shooting my 110FLP 300WM. I think Lon will really enjoy his if he starts reloading,and shooting his often enough to get comfortable with it.

Good looking Husky and Model 70 you got there.

I used to be a .300 Weatherby shooter. Then a friend told me there was a gun collection being put out at one of our local gun stores, and a bunch of Mausers were in the pile.

I ended up getting the Husky for $199 along with several other nice Mausers, a Remington 8 and a pristine SaginawSG M1 Carbine. 9 guns total. The most expensive one was a Flaigs Ace in .280Rem built on an Arg 1909 with a 1961 vintage Leupold scope. It was $249 and is one of my all time favorite rifles.

I shot the Husky and loved it. Then my buddy gave me his Win 70 in .300 WM, so I sold my .300 Weatherby and focused on .300 WinMag. It is much easier on barrels than .300 Wby and the drop off in performance is more than offset by ease of loading.

TMI, I know. But at least I did not tell the long version. Ha.

The nice thing about all the Flaigs Mausers from the collection is that they were custom made to fit the guy who passed away. He must have been exactly my size because they fit me perfectly. All were made between 1961 and 1963 and are pristine. He was probably a guy I would have really liked.
