They've already sold out of most of their lower grade Springfield and HR rifles.

They sent out a notice to all CMP buyer last week regarding the orders for the IHC Gaands. These were made at the IHC Plant at Evansville, Indiana. The IHC Garands are a whole collectors hobby in there own right.

So I have a membership of a CMP affiliated club but how do I get the other requirement? I think it's to say you practice good firearms safety. I know I do but I don't think they'll take my word for it

M1D Garand cal. 30-06 semi-automatic eight shot top loading clip fed Springfield Armory rifle. This rifle also came from DCM (now CMP) in 1993 at a cost of $650.00. It was the designated €œSniper rifle€ that was issued During WWII and the Korean War. It has the scope, cheekpiece, flash suppressor and bayonet that Was issued with it. It is topped with a Libby-Owens-Ford manufactured M82 2.5 power scope. The Rifle appears to be unfired or arsenal refinished. The scope, cheekpad and M2 flash hider were new in Wrappers. I assembled it, zeroed it and fired about 10 rounds and thats all its been used. I also have the USGI M5A1bayonet M10 scabbard and winter trigger conversion.

CMP Sales Update
CMP Does Not Maintain Waiting Lists. The CMP sales update on 21 Feb 2013 announced that CMP acceptance of orders for IHC M1 Garands would be delayed a few months due to the flood of orders already received by CMP for other items. We included that information in the update to reduce the calls and emails asking for the latest status of the IHC rifles. Now we are receiving calls and emails asking us to place names on a waiting list for the IHCs. We do not know when we will complete inspection and repair, or how many we will have by grade or condition. Prices have not yet been set. The CMP does not maintain waiting lists for any products. If we had waiting lists, each list would already have more names on it than we could ever hope to fill and the lists would be closed. When we are ready to accept orders for IHCs, we will email a notice to all email subscribers and post on our web site that orders will be accepted at that time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
