Default Citadel M1. 9mm carbine

Has anyone seen the new Citadel M1? Chambered for 9mm, wood or synthetic stock, 10 rd Beretta 92 fs mags (2included). MSRP just shy of $650.
What do you think? Is it worth having?
Legacy Sports has them.

You really dont gain much with 9mm in a rifle barrel. it would be a fun gun though.

Played with a buddy's Marlin Camp carbine, and some loads with slower powder. Got some rounds up over 1600 fps, and saw some good penetration increases with heavier bullets.

Don't know how significant it would be in a practical sense, but gets it close to .357 mag range in comparable bullet weight/velocity.

I think it would be fun. Any pistol caliber carbine would be fun. I want one of some sort in the future.

I have a Citadel 1911. It is a very reliable gun. It is not fancy. But even though I have bought a more expensive 1911 to replace it, I just can't bring myself to sell it. I would take a closer look at that M1. I think it is cool looking with the wooden furniture on it.

Maybe if it was chambered in something other than 9mm NATO or .22LR, maybe a 5.7x28.................

I have a 9mm AR that a couple of members here have shot. It is a hoot to shoot. With a max load of Blue Dot 115's top 1600 fps and 124's push 1550

The UZI based mags are reliable and easy to come by. Promag actually makes a darn good mag for these.

Default Citadel M1. 9mm carbine

YES!! And I have seen it listed for $529. Being a 9 guy, and My Dad having had one in Germany in 1949 and the first part of his Korean vacation, I def. Want one. Robo: I have The RRA 9MM-AR. Love it, but hardly shoot it because A) it's in the Bug out bag,..and B) I can Burn 300 rounds without realizing it!!:-)

I know some of the 22's and 30 Carbine versions were recalled in late 2011 and early 2012....

That just sounds like a good time right there.

Trust me,. It is. But after I blew through a 250 box of Remington UMC Ball,.. I said to myself( I said SELF) easy does it now,..were in an Ammo shortage,.
Otherwise I'd have 3 digits worth of Ammo instead of 4......
