They are much higher quality that the price would indicate.
The HS Precision stocks that came on the Remington PSS rifles were famous for splitting. Junk, IMO. You can get 3 or 4 of the B&C stocks for the price of one HS, and they shoot very well. Still a good idea to bed them, but plenty of guys do not and the rifles shoot great.
I did not bed my 1917 because the stock fit great, and the rifle shoots MOA with a sewer pipe barrel. If I ever get through my list of projects, it will get bedded. Til then it is GTG as is.
