Thanks. I had to hold my breath while bending it. I tend to do that when working on things that old. I was happy with the results though. Now if I could just get my loads built so I can shoot it. Things keep getting in the way though.

You guys all know that my camera skills suck, but it's the thought that counts.

The bluing is a lot more worn than it appears in the pics, but I really like it that way. It's my Rat Rod Marlin. Here it is:
Now THAT is a nice rifle...what caliber is it in? I've wanted to get myself a Levergun for a while now.

It's a 30-30. They're available in .35 Remington, but I don't reload yet, so I wanted to stick with a more avilable caliber.

Agreed. I want one badly but have yet to come across a good deal.

I found this one for a great price. It's excellent internally. It really only needed the front sight hood. The springs were fine, except the mag spring may have been a bit weak. But I wanted to strip it down and give it a good cleaning, so I changed out the springs while I was at it.

Good deals are out still out there, especially if it's not "tactical".

Nope. Want a beat up one. On a very tight budget. Was in the market for a revolver but money plans got shot to hell. Oh well. Plenty of time.
