Default Can someone help me with info on this gun from Cuba?

It belongs to my great aunt. She said she bought it in an island called Caracao off of Cuba probably in the late 70s, early 80s. She has no idea what it is or what it was used for but she thinks it might be a ceremonial gun? If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it!

Welcome to the forum, stop by the intro threads and introduce yourself.
The pics loaded, but I'm on a Droid so I can only see so much. I'm guessing maybe it came from Persia, with the ornate stock.

It looks like a buccaneer flintlock. They were popular in the Caribbean in the 17th century. Not sure of yours is original or repro.

A quick google search found a little info.

The stock really does look Arabic though the length makes me think buccaneer but it could be both as many old muskets are a mix of parts.

The type of butt was used in N.Africa besides Persia also. My concern at just the pics posted is the trigger gaurd, just not right as it looks thin like rolled steel.
