How big a girl is she? That is going to be your first consideration. Full grown, or dainty? Then perhaps look at some of the youth model rifles. The Mini 14 is a really good choice for a starter gun, depending on what she might be shooting with it. You can always cut the stock down for her, and then if she outgrows it, replace it with a composite stock later. Along that line, a Mini-30 would be a good choice also, because she could hunt deer size animals with it, and the ammo is plentiful and inexpensive.
