Building a prototype

I'm building a gun and I was wondering how exactly do you build the prototype. I have all of the designs done I just don't know where to get the materials to build the gun, how to shape them, stuff like that. Can you guys help?

well you start out by learning to run a lathe, mill, drill press. once you have mastered those machine tools then you can apply for your federal manufacturer of small arms license. then you can construct a firearm from raw materials.

Look up spitty's AR lower build. Plenty of pictures and how-to.

You have to become a supporting member to look at spitty's build. But I'll tell you he took an aluminum blank and milled a working lower receiver.

You donít need a federal license to build a prototype.

You need to learn basic machine, (lathe, Mill, and drill press) to start with, but if you don't want to go that route then find a gunsmith with that skills and have him make the parts for you.
