Default Budget Rifle Porn

Hey guys, just wanted to apologise for being so busy lately and not saying G'Day, I've been flat out with work and Uni. I hope you are all well.

Now that that's done with, I wanted to show off a new rifle I've just picked up for my brother who is in the process of getting his Firearms Licence. It's a Howa stainless sporter chambered in .223. I bought just the barreled action, and have fitted it to a Boyd's Prairie Hunter stock. The stock profile is very similar to the factory Weatherby stock that was on my Vanguard. Fit and finish are spot on, and I am very impressed with the inlet on the Boyd's. The barrel is fully floated with minimal clearance. I'll make sure to take some more pics that show a bit more detail, but here she is in all her glory with my Bell and Carlson stocked Vanguard.

The Howa will be scoped with a Sightron (Big Sky or S3, haven't decided yet), in the 3-9 or 4-12 power range.

Both rifles look very good.
You'll have to go with the Big Sky scope unless you want a 6-24x,That's the smallest SIII-Sightron makes. I love Sightron scopes, and have 5 of them.

Thanks Tx, I've got a Big Sky 6x42 on my Browning T-Bolt that I am over the moon with, so will definitely be purchasing another. I was looking at the S3's here.

Sightron makes a 3.5-10x44mm in the SIII. I think the SII Big sky has better reticule options for hunting and overall use of the rifle though.
