You do know that the Longbranch w/ it's 2 groove barrel is considered the best in function and accuracy. Yours is a No4mk1*. That handgaurd is awesome!

Sniper75, I have been buying Rem CoreLokt .303 Brit for around $20/box. Relatively inexpensive rounds are out there.

Am down to my last 1200 rounds of Greek Milsurp .303 on the stripper clips. I KNEW I should have bought more when I could, but it was almost 10 cents a round......

I only have 1 can of 300 left. I paid .16 a round when I found it 2 years ago. 1 Can down, one for a rainy day. I donated my Brit stuff to a friend in need in Oakland, Me.
At least you have great brass to reload.

I have boxes of commercail ammo that I bought over the years, never fired a round of it. I even have 2 boxes of Hornady Premium .303.

I have a No 4 Mk1 also and love it.
I have a bunch of Norma ammo I bought when I worked at a gun shop. Bought at cost.

I bought some 60 or so British, Australian, South African, and Pakistani surplus ammo, and all but the Pakistani were 1942,43,44 production. The Pakistani is 1968.
