I reload for my 223's and they are both 1:9 twist barrels. I load 55gr, 60gr, 65gr, and 69gr and have shot 75gr without issue. I think with the bullet options you have for deer hunting the 1:9 twist is the best twist rate for 55-70gr hunting bullets. Im sure the 1:8 or 1:7 would work better with heavier bullets but the 1:9 would be minimum in my opinion.
