What caliber are you interested in? You do know that shooting a heavy barrel rifle is difficult unsupported.

I know you dirty dogs love you some gun porn but unfortunately I only have these two pics handy;

ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1412823203.326157.jpgImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1412823216.320678.jpg

This gun is a SHOOTER and will outperform me all day every day..here's a few pictures of some groups I shot out of it the other day..if it weren't for those fliers i would be much happier than I already am
The black dots are the replacement stickers for shoot-n-c targets, it's a .308, never did get a tape on those groups..
..need..more..range time...

It isn't dead,but on life support since most of the good members have either been banned or just left.
Is that a Savage 10 FP? What optics are you running on it?
I have a safe full of Savage's,and also custom build them off Savage actions. If you will handload for it,you will get some really great groups out of it. I've never seen too many fantastic groups from rifles shooting factory ammo.

I have been dreaming, planning and thinking of a new bolt action, but it isn't going to happen until after Christmas. The kids need Santa first. I am checking out a range near a vacation home we are building and thinking of 300 yard shots. I have a 243 bolt action now, but thinking maybe a 223 bolt action is in my future. That way ammo is a little cheaper. Right now leaning towards a CZ, but really like the Kimber I own now. But I've got time to research. Gotta love the accuracy and reliably of a well maintained bolt action.

I believe it's a model 11, I'm not home to confirm right now but when I looked into it apparently the guy I traded with got it from dicks and the sku is unique to only dicks sporting goods. The optic is a millet, I don't remember the specs on it but it is definitely a high quality scope and I really love the gun as a whole. The ammo I used was a brand I have only seen recently at Walmart, it's called perfecta they're 147 grain fmj rounds. As for handloading I need to get some dies for the .308, I have plenty of brass ready to start the process but I also need projectiles. Money has been tight lately so unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on any supplies. You guys can be sure that when I do sit down and crank some rounds off the press you'll see what they can do on the paper.

I found a nice CZ 527 in 7.62x39. Light little carbine with a single set trigger and 5 round box magazine. It WILL be mine ( insert evil laugh here).
