I really like the way it looks with the gray S.S. and laminated stock. It has a 26" barrel and the safety isn't on the tang but is on the right side just behind the bolt handle.

then it's newer than my Ruger M77. my M77 in 280 Remington is one of the older tang mounted safety models made in 1978 according to the date code. mine has the heavy 24" barrel for some reason. it is one sweet shooting rifle too.

i haven't owned any of the newer M77's yet, but have owned quite a few of the older ones. your's is still beautiful looking rifle. thanks for sharing yours on the thread.

Updated pictures of my Kimber 84M in .243. Added Swarovski Z3 3-9x36 scope. My first ever scope mount and sighting. I heard if done right it should take me three shots on paper to zero. It took me 10! Oh well, it is dead nuts centered now. Love this rifle.

Forgot to mention that I mounted using the DNZ Game Keeper 1 piece mount. Very easy to mount and get set up. Light as hell too. Loving the whole package.

So far it shoots great. But I have only shot it a little to get it sighted in. Next time I'll give it a real workout.

nice Big Blue! nothing wrong with the older Savages. nothing fancy, just a good solid and well made rifle.

read some of the earlier pages and several of us discuss refinishing stocks. might be worth the time to read through them. it's not near as hard as many think it is. Anna did her first one with us helping walk her through it here. she did a wonderful job on her stock. it turned out beautiful when she was finished.
