Just don't talk out of your Ars. Most guys here don't agree on everything, but we are talking realistic firearms we own. Me I'm a die hard 8x57 fan, others are .30-06. When it really comes down to it the two are basicly twins, but the 8x57 is still the parent case for .30-06
One does not out range the other. For the difference is ballistics, you are splitting hairs. Please join in! I read allot here, and I respond at times. Notice the number of posts I have compared w/ others. These guys are not a serious bunch, believe me. But, they know firearms. I give advice on what I know, and ask questions about things I don't. I'll be 50 in a year. I'm no expert. Just be humble unless you are 100% sure you are correct.

BTW, I think the .408 has extreme potential. It has some stiff compitition that is proven though.
