I really like the Rem 700 7mm rem mag I hunt some very large crop fields where 300-500 yard shots are common,the 7mm rem mag with a 160 gr. Nosler Partition @ 3100fps really puts the hammer on them

That another family of rounds I don't like is the ultra mags cuz I don't like the thought of it kicking my arm off lol for a deer or other critters that gets caught in front of it

The .30-06 is THE best round EVER! Vermin to Moose. Large bears in a pinch. 55 gr Accellerators to 220 gr round nose. It is the caliber others are always compared to. If I could only have one rifle, it would be an "ought six". You can still find the adapters to safely shoot .308 also.
