The Henry pumps and levers are fun guns, the Ruger 10/22 is a standard plinker, the Savage M64 works very well in this roll too.

In fact any .22 makes a fun plinker.

is imho the best allaround 22. you can upgrade till there is no tommarow, or just shoot the heck out of it till your heart is content... i own 3, 1 "ultimate" that has cost me about 2grand so far, 1 factory freash carbine that has had all the stock parts reworked by me or cpc and the "pawnshop" special that is running right up there with the "ulti" for around 300 bucks.
btw all 3 are "stupid accurate" with the right ammo.

I have a ruger 10/22 and I could not be more happy with it. Very relible and real fun to shoot.

My friends call me a .22 nut. I have a bunch of them but my ruger 10/22's and my winchester 62A are my favorites when it comes to the long guns. the 62 is pulled out once a year to do some bunny banging just for old time sake. (it was my dads ) The 10/22s are great for any .22 shooting you can do. plinking, bunny hunting, or compitition. just don't let your wife or daughter shoot them or you will be buying more of them to replace the ones they clame.
