Are scatter guns rifles?

I have my 45 so I can fight to my AR!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Cane, if you duct tape four or five of them together you may possibly get the same effect and you just might be a redneck.

I love these threads!!

Just use an M44. Even if you miss them, they will surely be blind from the fireball. So will you, but .....

A shotgun is a great home defense gun.
But, in respects to the OP, technically a shotgun is not a rifle.
So I'll vote for an M4A3.

Although this topic is old it has yeilded some great discussion between the use of shotgun and/or rifle for home defense. I wonder what the OP (Skeletor) chose?

you said rifle, a shotgun is another topic, but a 12 gauge with buckshot. for a rifle, a 9mm or .45 carbine or similar short range with the right ammo.

Default home defense

I agree (for what ever that is worth) A shot gun is good and if you get a pump and take out the little thingy (called a plug)in the pump part and then you will have 5 shots Another reason I like the shotgun is the BG will see you have something in your hand and mean business =I don't like the little pistols for home defense the BG (Bad Guy) cannot see the defense weapon and will not soil him/her self like when they see the shotgun. But at the same time a pistol in the nite stand is an excellent idea
If you remove the plug you will have to remember to put it back in if you hunt ducks or geese.

AK's are great rifels to but the rounds are not that powerful, Scoped you can reach out 400 yards easy, I wont comment about any ferther, thats as far as I have ever shot mine. Prices will vary as to who made perticular model. and you can feel pretty secure with 30-40 rounds of ammo at your fingertip's hope this helps.
AR's jamming up ????? WTH ???????????

AK's rounds not that powerfull ???????????? WTH ????????????

I SURE WOULDN'Twannbe hit by a lowly .223 NATO, or a 7.62x39....

honestly ? jamming up ? mine have never ''jammed up'' my AR's..

i use hornady TAP 75 grainers, good quality ammo.

and i KNOW my AR's, plus i live out in the stick's too...

btw, scaring off a bad guy ? by racking your weapon ? good way to get shot.

me ? i just eaze the hammer back on my ol' 97 winchester. soft n' eazy does it.
