Default Awesum day at the range

Day off work, good weather, 100 yd range at my club now re-fitted with extra safety features. So this is my first 100 yd day this year. The target with the tape measure is a 3/8" group I shot with month-old Remington 783 .270, my best ever with hunting caliber. Remington Corelockt, $18.00. Rifle cost $400, this was off a couple of sandbags, enough said about that rifle

Second target is SW MP15 through open sights also at 100 yds. Newest acquisition for me and will be my last this year I believe. First AR and all I can say is 'wow' ( think Moonshine scene from 'The Great Escape')

Made a couple new friends, that's always the best part. Now time to save up for more 5.56.......

Well done! Have to agree (totally) with the .270 statement as well.

Good shooting!

Thanks. The AR is a lot of fun to shoot. This was one of my better days, eyes are mediocre at best

My father in law has been a .270 man forever, and I thought I'd see what the big deal was. Great round

Nice! And not done with four figure $ rifles says a lot.
