Default AR Newbie here

Looking to build a couple of ARs from the ground up. Already have 2 stripped Spikes lowers (Spider and Pirate). For my 1st one, looking at a Spikes Enhanced LPK, either a Spikes or RRA upper, nickel boron BCG and a decent scope. Would like to finish and put a couple hundred rounds in the 1st build before I start the 2nd. Any advice? Thanks to all!!!!!

Barrels?

Uppers and lowers are just window dressing on the barrel.

It's the stuff that looks mundane that really makes the difference.

Kinda expecting that....my dad got on my case. "Why are making two of the same? Why not a .308?" But imagine that question with a hard Filipino accent. LOL

16"....can't decide between chrome lined or nitride. Either way, it's looking to be about $175-$200 for the barrel
