Third post-I tried to get some info on the new ACR (Advanced Combat
Rifle) that Remington should soon be producing, along with Magpul, and
Bushmaster, which was originally called the Masada (much cooler name,
IMHO). The write-ups on this seem pretty scarce, but I thought maybe
someone touched, heard, or saw something..maybe at SHOT '09?

Nevermind. My Bad. I thought you were talking about the Remington Submission to the Sniper Trials last year - I have nothing for you on the ACR. I might after SHOT in January though...

The Remington ACR is going to be the military version and will not see civilian release from what I'm told.
The Bushmaster ACR is the civilian model....but this is only speculation.
Either way the only reason why it's not being released is because Bushmaster wants to sell more ARs....and if they put this on the market they will kill some other part of their market. They try to cover it up with military trials and bull ****.
Magpul really messed up by giving production to Bushmaster.
Two ACR's will be raffled off at the Silencer Shoot this Saturday, it's too late to buy tickets online, I've already got mine, all proceeds are donated to The Wounded Warrior Project, I can't think of a better cause. I've already got the M4-2000 for it, just need to get lucky. Here's a pretty good video.
