Any thoughts on the FN PBR?
I'm looking at buying a FN PBR XP in .308.
I'd like to get a .308 to do some distance shooting and I think the FN is a good deal at around $700. Does anyone have any experience with it? Any info is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! |
I considered one but went with Remingtons SPS Tactical for $565 shipped from budsgunshop.com. I googled both rifles and found nothing bad about the SPS Tactical and mixed reviews of the PBR. I have to admit that I haven't even shot my SPS yet because of weather but I have high hopes.

THe FN PBR is just a Model 70 in different cloths.
I still this it is a better built rifle than the Model 700. The PBR is a controlled feed where the remmy is a pushfeed. |

$700 is a VERY good deal. That gun retails for $1,000-$1,200 depending on configuration so at that price I'd buy it. The barrel is not heavy enough for serious persistent long distance shooting but it will do for hunting and paper punching. |
Thanks for all the replies gang! Keep em' coming.
I'll keep the Remi in mind but still leaning toward the FN. Calle |
