Awesome! Are there any good rifle ranges in that area? When I move down, we'll definitely have to meet up.

The first offical 1,000 yard match was shot at the "Creedmore" range. Competition was between Ireland and the United states. Ireland shot muzzle loaders the U.S. team shot sharps and Remington breech loaders.
No rest were allowed no scopes. They were shooting a 12' square target. The U.S. won by one point. The Irish had been fined 5 points for a shooting a wrong target. Todays targets for the 1,000 yard is 6'.

There is a good one but for some reason the range masters are dicks and kind of makes you not want to go back.

Alright gents I picked up some optics today, think I got a great deal. I think it will be good to get me from 100-600 yards. I was rather impressed with my negation tactics. Picked up a Burris m-tac for $100. I talked the guy down alot and after seeing that these run $350-$400 I jumped on it.

Sig, i think that scope would work quite well on the Marlin XS7VH in 308!

trust me on this, that everyone that has tried the Marlin X7's because i recommended them has been very pleased with them. there are several members here on this forum that swear by their accuracy and how well made they are for the price. they look and perform like a rifle that costs much, much more. currently i own three of those Marlins and all of them are great shooting rifles. i took a chance on the first one i bought, a XL7C n 25-06 and was so impressed that i bought the second one, a XS7 in 7mm-08, and then ordered the XS7VH when they announced they were bringing them out. i am very pleased with all three of mine and wouldn't hesitate in buying another one, which i will soon.
