Default All the numbers on my m44 match!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my m44 carbine apart so I could check the serial numbers yesterday. They all match! I also checked the stock for the refurbish mark ... NOTHING! It wasn't refurbished. I am a very lucky man!

It's a 1945 laminate izkavex (I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong!).

PS: is the 7.62x54r a large enough caliber to put a feral hog on the ground?

It butts right up against a 30:06 in terms of ballistics, definitely will take out feral swine.

Yup, its pig worthy. Not the fastest action or the best safety for hunting though.

Nice rifle and yes it will put a pigs richard in the dirt. You can also poke em with the Bayonet.

corrosive surplus loadings are about equal with the 308win. non-corrosive new factory loadings like winchester hornady stuff are a scootch ahead of 30-06 in power levels.

CVA,

Very nice rifle! And yes without a doubt the round is more than capable in putting Porky on the ground. We shoot a lot of them in Texas with 223/5.56 rounds with little problems. And certainly other calibers.

NOT.............By the way cva209x50, nice looking ol rifle, I will agree to it being equal to, if not a little ahead of the .308 Win. But there ain`t NO way it even comes close to the .30-06 Springfield !.............

That's what I intended. I'm planning a hog hunt in Texas in a few years and I plan on taking the m44. If I get charged by one, I have the bayonet just in case.

I like the M44 specifically for hog hunting. They can tend to

get underfoot, and the Alpha is usually very testy. So

the bayonet does come in handy, from time to time.
