If you're only going to use your rifle for target shooting and don't plan on ever needing to carry it around out in the field, the Ultimate Varminter or Ultimate Sniper stocks are great. I personally would choose the Varminter over the Sniper stock because the forend is flat on the bottom and not angled.
I used one of them for many years on my 300 WM long range rifle, and it worked just fine, but these stocks are "HEAVY",and ugly as hell.
I prefer their Tactical series stocks, and have several of them. They are a very stable platform for your action, and can easily be taken on hunting excursions.

You'll need to call Choate and ask them about the fitment of your mag conversion,I have no idea since I don't shoot Remington's.
You will have all kinds of free floating on your barrel, any of Choate's Tactical or Ultimate series will handle up to 1.25" diameter barrels in their inletting.
