I'm voting SKS. Fairly cheap gun, pretty cheap ammo, pretty reliable, decent accuracy at its intended range (heck, I can't hardly see a person at 500 yards anymore) and pretty quick to load with the stripper clips. And not carrying magazines lets you carry a significant amount more ammo on the strippers. Plus, no worries about magazine spring fatigue.
