Looks to be an M48, but without close ups of the stamps, you never know. Here are pics of odd marks to look for. Use the Macro (flower) and flash for better pics.

Note the 1.TRZ on the stock. TRZ5 is also a great find.

POSSIBLY A Yugo M48. If you look on the left side of the frame, right at the bolt, probably have soem importer markings. Those go for about $200 around here in VG condition. If the ammo has a TOC marking, that is Turkish (actually a T crescent moon & star, and C) corrosive, fairly hot load (Ow) good ammo.

Good website for you: Collecting and Shooting the Military Surplus Rifle (2006) - Scroll all the way down to Yugo M48 on left side.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.

I've got that same exact rifle best I can tell and love it, my great uncle bought 2 and gave me one he also bought two big ass sardine cans full of 15 round boxes of ammo I've been shooting it (since he gives it to me for free), it has nny 1978stamped on the bottom, just wondering if anyone has seen these rounds I have always assumed that it is corrosive so I always scrub the barrel till the patch comes out clean, also wondering if there is other ammo preferably non corrosive that is not extremely expensive I can get and maybe with a soft point, I would love to do some hog hunting with it, and I have also been kinda curious seems like the front sight is shifted to the left of center, the gun shoots straight but I would swear it wouldnt when he first gave it to me. Thanks
