I just bought an AK 47. Also just bought some 7.62 X 39 cartridges from Wolf. The wolf ammo is slightly hollow point and will not feed into the chamber of the AK 47 cleanly and jams often. Of course, from this question, it is no surprise that I am a rookie on guns/ammo. Is there a cheap rifle or option that will fire the hollow point ammo? I have over a thousand rounds!! Rookie mistake.

The problem with being stupid is you cannot simply decide to stop doing dumb things...
sounds to me like theres somethin wrong with your ak. im no expert but ak's are know for there ability to feed everything every time with little or no maintenance. shouldnt matter if its hollow points or FMJ. Have you tried any other ammo in it?

Welcome to the forum. 95% of feed problems is mag. related. However, like M14 said, pull that charging handle ALL THE WAY BACK and just let it go. Also, make sure your mag. is seated properly. Like,is it missing the round altogether,or is it only picking it up part of the way?
The rest of the world gets it,why can't we?
