Yes, it is an old (1915) Russian Moisin-Nagant, made originally is 7.62x54R. It has been "sporterized".

Pretty stock. Most sporterized mosins have that fugly ATI synthetic stock.

I have to agree with Trip. That is one pretty stock, but I don't like sporterized military firearms though.

It just looks ugly and cheap to me. Nothing really wrong with it, I just dont like it. Their turn down bolt handle kit is 10X worse though.

Do you know of any other "tactical" stocks out there?

I don't think I would call the ATI "tactical", but other than that gorgeous piece of work in the picture, I think boyd's makes some laminate sporter stocks for the mosin. I wanna say all the other ones I've seen were full custom jobs. Point I'm getting at, is I, personally, my humble opinion, do not like the ATI synthetic sporter stock for the mosin, and wood sporter stocks for the mosin are not very easy to find.

All that nonsense being said by me, I'm not a hardcore purist, but I'll be keeping the original stock on mine. I always love seeing other peoples projects though, and I think the one in the picture is exceptionally nice.
