Default 6.8 Spc

Im looking into buying a bolt action rifle chambered in 6.8SPC

I know that a few companies make AR uppers for this round but I would like to use it for deer hunting and some target shooting.

if any of you have heard of or seen that a company is making rifles for this round i would love to hear about it.

That round is a fairly specialized round. It is designed specifically to kill humans at ranges of 300 meters and below. The closest you'll come in a bolt gun is the .270 Win, unless you have a custom barrel made for an existing bolt gun.

I do not believe that there is an off the shelf bolt rifle made for that caliber, yet. If it was made, I would bet Remington would be the one making it.

I am sure that you could get someone to make a barrel for one, if it has not already been done, and then put that on your action of choice.

That`s a new round on me and I thought I`ve heard of most of the Wildcats. From what the other guys have posted if you do not reload, do`nt get one. If you do reload but cannot read preasure signs , do not get one. I`ve been playing with Wildcat rounds for more years than some of the guys on this board are years old and loaded my own for years befor that. Make sure that you can get reloading data from a bullet manufacture or powder manufacture befor you buy one unless you have found factory ammo, or can read presure signs. Be safe first.

It's not a wildcat anymore. There's loaded ammo available for it and SAAMI specs. There's info for loading out there too.

If you're interested, these guys make some of the best barrels in the world. www.kriegerbarrels.com I'm sure they'd be more than happy to cut you a 6.8 Rem barrel for a Remington 700.

Default 6.8x43mm /spc/6.8mm

What you are looking for is the Remington 700P LTR ( LIGHT TACTICAL RIFLE ) It is a short action rifle that was designed to kill people in an urban enviroment, in short, a mid range sniper rifle, unlike the standerd 308, this round will not overpenetrate, as to not kill friendlys in a hostage situation, increadebly accurate, will take care of any terrorist Deer on the block!!!
