Why not a factory .25-06?? Virtually no ballistic difference, and .25-06 is readily available as a factory round.

I never thought about the 25-06 im and not really worry about finding much ammo for it seem how I reload but I will look in to it seems how I got a lil while to save up the money for eathier one lol plus the main reason I was looking at the 6.5-06 is because it unique and not very many peaple have one that I now of anyways

IIRC, you did say you had another rifle in 30-06, so this personally would give me the push towards the 6.5-06. and i like the 30-06, very much, and i like the 25-06, but then again, i am a big fan of any cartridge based off the 30-06! and as much as i love the 30-06, everyone and his mother has a rifle in 30-06. with it having been around now for over 100 years, there are a few rifles chambered in it. but my reason for liking the 6.5-06, is three reasons, one it's based off the 30-06, two, it's very unique and uncommon, and three, it's excellent long range ballistics. if a person reloads and accepts the fact that every round shot will be more or less custom ammo, and is comfortable with this, then the 6.5-06 becomes a viable choice in calibers when wanting to do a rebarreling of a rifle in that caliber. so IMO, i would have to give heavy consideration for the 6.5-06.

i couldnt have said it better my self lol and like i said with me having two of them theres really no point in it so i figured i should do somthing with one of them and like u said not very many peaple have one and every round is a custom round unlike the 30-06 were everyone has one or had one some point in time
